Maple Oatmeal Cake

Yield: Serves 6-8


Ingredients:

  • 1 C quick oats

  • 1 ¼ C hot water

  • ½ C butter

  • 1 C Pure NY Maple Granulated Sugar

  • 1 C white sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 1/3 C flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¾ tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • dash nutmeg

  • Pure NY Maple Cream

Directions:
Mix together oats and hot water and let stand while preparing the rest of the ingredients.


Cream together butter, Pure NY Maple Granulated Sugar, and white sugar. Add eggs and oatmeal mixture. In separate bowl mix together dry ingredients, then add to oatmeal mixture.


Pour into a 9 x 13 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Test for doneness. While still warm spread lightly with Pure NY Maple Cream.
