Ingredients:
1 ¼ C Flour
1/3 C Sugar
½ C soft butter or margarine
¾ C Pure NY Extra Dark (also known as Grade B Syrup)
2/3 C white sugar
2 large eggs, well beaten
2 tbsp melted butter
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2 tbsp flour
¼ tsp salt
1 C chopped walnuts
Directions
Cut together first three ingredients until they resemble coarse meal. Press into greased 9” pan and bake 15 minutes at 375°. Remove, and reduce oven temperature to 350°.
Combine Pure NY Extra Dark, white sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, flour, and salt and beat well. Stir in walnuts. Pour over crust and bake 40 – 45 minutes or until firm.
Cool and cut into squares
Yield: 9 Squares
